NOT HERE Presents:  The Governor’s Summit on Human Trafficking

November 12 & 13, 2015

The Countdown: 94 days remaining

August 4th began our 100 day countdown leading up to The Governor’s Summit on Human Trafficking in Maine. Over these 100 days, we will be sharing a fact, a resource, or a perspective each day, to raise awareness, encourage discussion, and inspire action against injustice, both domestically, and globally.

Today’s Featured Resource: Coalition Against the Trafficking of Women (CATW) International

CATW’s mission is simple: to end human trafficking in our lifetime. CATW works internationally to combat sexual exploitation IN ALL its forms, and it currently has launched a campaign to convince Amnesty International to VOTE NO on decriminalizing trafficking, pimps, and sex buyers.

Do YOU want to DO more?
CATW has launched a petition to encourage Amnesty International to “Vote NO to Decriminalizing Pimps, Brothel Owners, and Buyers of Sex.”

Those who prey upon and exploit vulnerable individuals, including children, and those living in poverty, experiencing homelessness, or having experienced prior sexual and/or domestic abuse, should be held accountable under the law. Period.
